anarchy to diapers’s Podcast

I meet Mike at a a restaurant (Dirty Taco). He approached me when he saw my Yuppicide tattoo a legendary Hard Core band in New York. We got to talking swapped info.

On this interview we start with some light questioning. Then dive deep into why we PMA (positive mental attitude) is so big in hard core and punk scene. As well as discussing the challenges he faced growing up.

This interview was done at Punk Island. Punk Island is held at Randall’s Island which is between Queens and Manhattan.

It was raining on and off all day. all the punks and hard-core people showed up and surprising numbers. But the rain did limit the ability to get interviews. Considering I’m an unlimited budget and fearful ruining my gear.

I ran into Creature last year when Rebelmatic played punk island. I told him about the podcast but was to interview him because my phone died. So I was excited to see him hanging around. We took a walk across the field for a quick talk.

This interview was done at The Lindenhurst Local Music Festival.

This is one of my favorite events on Long Island. Always a challenge to do interviews because it is in the middle of my oldest soccer season. We leave the soccer field and the family heads to the show. I’m yet to find a balance of A2D and family Time.

A little quick Johnny on the spot interview Ben before he got on the train back to Brooklyn.

This is the only interview I had planned for Punk Island 2026.

I reached out to Scott on Instagram after he mentioned on his podcast, Scene Support, that he was going to be there. Scott runs DcXpc Live Records, where he releases live records from current punk bands, and he also books bands in the Hudson Valley area of upstate NY.

Scott is an incredible contributor to the punk scene in and outside of New York. I had to get him on the Anarchy To Diapers podcast.

This episode is different from any interview I have done in the past. This is not a Johnny on the Spot interview nor a in studio interview. This is the first time I ever sat down to talk with an Artist in their home.

I sat down with Jon in the middle of a transition phase. Things are uncertain with  Coventry Carols. His art has taken a dramatic turn for the better. I

was lucky enough to catch in this new phase of his artistic transformation.

I am truly grateful for Jon’s honesty and willingness to share his experience through adoption. I  am truly proud to have share his experience, strength and hope . If this interview can help one couple through their journey for adoption,I have achieved my goal.

Today’s episode is with Craig drummer for The Worst as well as Chris Rogers and the Dirty Gems. Turtle made this podcast challenging with constant rants and tantrums. Yet his ridiculous off beat nonsense still made chuckle.
